F chapbook #13
"This volume compiles all contributor activity to the magazine, artist publications, PDFs, exhibitions, events, and editions during the first ten years of F Magazine, from the release of the first issue at Printed Matter, New York, on June 27, 2014, through Collaborations and Bootlegs: 10 Years of F Magazine, an exhibition organized at Josh Pazda Hiram Butler, Houston, July 20 – August 24, 2024.
As an index to the project in total, some information is necessarily truncated, i.e., titles are listed for all works that appeared in the twelve issues of the magazine produced during this period, but the dates, materials, dimensions, etc. that appear in the endnotes of the magazine in print have been excluded. For the exhibitions, all information on individual works have been withheld, and artists' participation in exhibitions are listed simply by the titles of the exhibitions themselves, followed by "solo exhibition" or "exh." for group exhibitions. Some group exhibitions were hosted by venues that are not listed in each artist's entry; these are Fictions at Derek Eller Gallery; Sylvia Bataille at JOAN; The Garden of Forking Paths at Magenta Plains; Windows at David Peterson Gallery; and Collaborations and Bootlegs: 10 Years of F Magazine at Josh Pazda Hiram Butler, although each venue has its own listing in the index along with the corresponding exhibition title. Unless otherwise noted in the artist's entry, all other exhibitions were at F, 4225 Gibson Street, Houston, TX 77007. Exempt from this volume are art fairs and art book fairs, significantly Independent, New York, and Printed Matter's Art Book Fairs in New York and Los Angeles; these have been numerous and essential to the make up and proliferation of this project, but due to the number of these events and the number of participants in them, they have not been included.
Much of the work of this project has been collaborative, and in those instances, individual entries followed by "see also" will refer the reader to the pertaining collaborating artist(s) or venue. Many of the artists that have participated in this project have done so under various names, entites, or organizations, which are cross-referenced in the final entry of each artist's section by "See" or "See also."
